I’m excited to announce that I’ve been accepted as a member of the .NET Foundation! This is a significant milestone in my developer journey, and I wanted to share what it means and how you can get involved.
What is the .NET Foundation?
The .NET Foundation is an independent organization supporting the open source .NET ecosystem. It provides governance, guidance, and support for .NET open source projects. Notable member projects include .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and many community libraries.
Why Join?
Membership gives you a voice in .NET’s future. You can:
- Vote in board elections
- Participate in working groups
- Connect with other passionate .NET developers
- Contribute to governance discussions
My Commitment
As a Foundation member, I’m committed to:
- Continuing to contribute to open source projects
- Organizing community events (like our LK MUG meetups)
- Mentoring new developers entering the ecosystem
- Sharing knowledge through blog posts and talks
