This year’s Global Azure Bootcamp was held at venues around the world on April 27th. I had the pleasure of co-organizing the Letterkenny edition with the LK MUG team.
What is Global Azure Bootcamp?
It’s a free, one-day community event happening simultaneously in cities worldwide. The goal is helping developers get hands-on with Azure services. This year, hundreds of locations participated globally.
Our Sessions
We ran hands-on labs covering:
- Azure Functions: Serverless compute for event-driven scenarios
- Azure App Service: Deploying web applications
- Azure DevOps: Building CI/CD pipelines
- Azure Cosmos DB: Getting started with globally distributed databases
The Azure Science Lab
This year’s global challenge was the Azure Science Lab – using Azure to analyze and classify images for scientific research. Our attendees contributed processing power to help researchers study climate data. It was amazing to see cloud computing used for good.
Thanks
Huge thanks to our sponsors and every attendee who gave up their Saturday to learn. The community spirit was incredible. Can’t wait for next year!
